So as a Chinese family, we eat rice every day. Calrose usually, occasionally jasmine. So today my wife makes black rice for the first time (rice with lentils). 14 year old opened the rice cooker, looked quizzically at it and said "Why'd you make black rice?"

I answered,

"Because black rice matters".
