It becomes a problem when the team can’t cash the checks the fans are writing…
…with their mouths. That then leads to unmet expectations and disappointment (see Utah this year). That then turns to frustration and anger. And before you know it, those who once had the most bullish predictions are calling for the coaches’ heads.
