We’re an independent. BYU does not get the G5 auto-bid to the NY6 bowl.
Even before the Big12 invite, the SEC was on record stating that BYU would qualify as their OOC P5 opponent requirement. There is literally zero factual reasons to call BYU a G5 in 2021.
