People who are paid to do a job well and underperform in that job are liable to criticism and even being let go. Yes, it sucks for that person. But paid jobs are not charities. Employers expect a positive ROI from their employees.
I have been critical of Tuiaki. Do I think he should be let go? I'm not there yet. But I think he's underperformed as a coordinator. I think his scheme and play-calling are overly conservative. Is he more knowledgeable than I am? Certainly. But that does not make him right. There are plenty of Paul Krugmans that know a lot about economics but are still completely backwards when it comes to actually understanding how an economy really works.
Tuiaki's D is just too easy to exploit for any competent offense. If he can't get the D off the field more regularly, we will need to replace him with someone who can.
