I'm finding it hard to get excited about regular-season NBA basketball. For the best teams the games are basically meaningless. More and more teams hold players out occasionally to rest them, and often, players aren't giving their best in regular-season games.

Why not do away with the regular season completely? Just seed everyone in each conference and have a couple more rounds of playoffs and be done with it.

I know it's all about money, but it has become almost unwatchable in so many ways.
