When I was in Jr. high the PE teacher would call us by our last name. One day, one of my classmates came up to me while we were changing and asked a very similar question you just asked “so… were your ancestors really great fisherman or something?” I looked at him puzzled and said “I don’t know, why?”

“Because your last name is Powerbait.”

Well my last name is not Powerbait but I can see the confusion. Powerbait then became my nickname and it’s unique enough that it’s my username for anonymous type places like cougarboard or gaming handles.


With that said, I do enjoy fishing but haven’t been for years.
