15 years ago I had a patient who’s unemployed husband had a 50” TV and
I still had a 36” tube HD TV and dreamed of having a 50” and was amazed that someone who lived in an apartment (not a house) on unemployment and asking for money to borrow from their grandpa to pay bills and to borrow his car (since hers was totaled and her car accident was her fault with only liability insurance) could actually ask his wife (my patient) to buy him a 50” TV for his 32nd birthday

Sure enough, as much as she tried to fight it, she gave in.

One of the largest examples of entitlement I had ever personally witnessed
