My kid just finish reading the book and wanted to watch the movie. I told him to be prepared to dislike the movie. We watched it and I was reminded how terrible of a job they did. The costumes, acting. Everything that could go wrong went wrong. It was like a bad play more than a movie.

Lord of rings had passion and brought the books to life. The director of lord of the rings needs to redo this movie. What a shame.
