I think BYU did get left behind for a while in the ind era. But BYU has
done an unbelievable job of rebranding themselves (ex. Royal jerseys) and making BYU one of the top destinations to attend school. Tom Holmoe, Kalani Sitake, and Mark Pope deserve a ton of credit for turning around the BYU athletic program.
