needs to happen. With 12-16 and every P5 getting an auto bid you can end up with a team or teams getting in that are ranked lower than the top 15 and basically stealing a spot.

It's really looking like the 12-16 team push is so the big boys can get more teams in and make more money more than greater inclusion, though it probably would allow one more non p5 team in if there are two good ones, like this year.

With BYU, Cinci, Houston and UCF joining the BIG 12 it may be a mute point anyway. Even with expansion may only get one non P5 team per year in at that point.
