There is a rumor in OM circles that there was an administrative issue that was
holding up transfer approvals and announcements. If that's true, that COULD explain a delay in waiting until now. Again, I'm not saying it's true, but it's at least a plausible explanation.
And even if that rumor isn't true, the recruiting drama doesn't always "make much sense" and we shouldn't always expect it to.
