I remember reading all about how "self-executing contracts" and other block-chain technologies were about the change insurance, medical payments, real-estate, etc.
As an attorney who frequently litigates and tries cases about contract performance, I sat and scratched my head about it.
7 years later, I suspect that some method of verification similar to "block chain" is used on the back-end of some large organizations. But I don't think it is anything like the sales-pitch was, nor will it ever become that.
I feel the same way about NFT's. A solution in search of a problem, mostly.
