I agree, but it's hard to see a case for most of them anyway.
Trey Lance may not even play this year. And he's very raw as a prospect.

All the national pundits are saying the Bears got worse from a roster perspective, not better, so that's going to be tough for Justin Fields. Not to mention the Bears overhauled their coaching staff, and John Beck really harps on the point that young QBs need continuity.

Trevor Lawrence has a new head coach and offensive coordinator. They are undoubtedly an upgrade over what he had previously, but again it'll be a new system. The national pundits are saying the Jags probably upgraded their roster a bit but not significantly.

Mac Jones is probably the most likely candidate, but again he'll have a brand new OC so who knows if the lack of continuity hurts him. They also lost some key pieces on their offensive line and don't seem to have upgraded the roster significantly. Plus being in the AFC East is tough.

Zach Wilson has a very good case. Same HC and OC, who were both rookies last year in their positions and should naturally get better this season. All the national pundits agree that the Jets have done one of the best jobs of any team this season in upgrading their roster on both sides of the ball. They have a really tough schedule being in the AFC East as well, so who knows, but in trying to be objective, I think it's either him or Mac Jones who will play the best this season, with Lawrence in 3rd place.

We'll see.
