as opposed to just one story drawn out over a whole season where you often feel like very little movement is even made in an entire episode to advance the story much further (ahem, Picard season 2). Episodes with self-contained stories give you much greater flexibility and I love it. Next week's episode is going to be a comedy, a body swap episode with Spock and his fiancée, T'Pring.
