Not to be confused w the Cumorah where the Nephite record cache was deposited by
Mormon.
If Moroni had deposited them there, it makes no sense he'd make a separate little container to put them in.
Applying the name "Cumorah" to the Palmyra NY drumlin was surely the work of folk logic among the first generation Saints — with the name eventually being adopted by Joseph Smith even.
