soon. I would get an iPhone 8 to prevent yourself from needing to update sooner then later. Apple is dropping service for everything before iPhone 8 with the next update. Eventually the app will have to be updated at your work in a way that will require you to be on a higher version of ios. So if you need this device for a while I would get an 8 at a minimum.
