The Real Reason for the demise of the P12...
Everyone thinks the departure of USC & UCLA for the B1G is what's causing the breakup of the P12 conference. But their departure is more a symptom than a cause.

I did a quick search on Hulu+ and found both the ACC Network, the B1G Network, and the SEC network, but no P12 TV network. And I live in Arizona which is part of the P12 footprint. I rarely (if ever) watch the ACC or B1G or SEC networks, but they're available to me. But no P12 network. I have been frustrated at times because I have wanted to watch a P12 football or basketball game, but it was on the P12 network so I couldn't watch.

This is the real reason the P12 is crumbling. As evidenced by their lousy TV network that very few people can even get (remind you of the Mtn?) no one really cares about the P12. Both their overall exposure and financial situation have been declining for years. This is the real reason behind USC & UCLA bailing. Being in the Western time zone where many of their games, that they insist have to be played at night, come on after most people's bedtime on the East Coast doesn't help. Having few good options for expansion has made things difficult as well.

But just sitting here in Arizona and not being able to find/watch the P12 TV network speaks volumes about the P12's growing irrelevancy.
