The PAC12 teams could do it and not have any of that negativity as a result because it was already patently obvious that the conference was under threat. If Big 12 teams start saying they're committed, then it's putting that conference on par with the PAC... which isn't where we want to be.

I'd rather not hear public statements of commitment.
