How has BYU been able to run a solid athletics department with a top 15 directors cup finish last year while also running in the black? I think it's an interesting storyline to investigate when you see headlines like the tweet below.

College athletics spending is way out of control
Cal has a ton of debt on their stadium no one even goes to. UCLA apparently was ready to cancel sports because it can't even fund it's own department despite P5 money in LA. Many other programs are unable to sustain themselves without huge $$$ stolen from students in fees or subsidized through state taxes. Think it could be an interesting storyline amongst 2022 realignment.
