That's crazy cheap. Must be an old building without an elevator. With 2 baths, it's hard to find a 3-bed for less than
$8k. My guess is they got that rate during covid and when their lease expires their rent is going way up.


I just did a search and there are 91 3-bed, 2-bath apartments for rent on the Upper West right now. The cheapest is $6k (and I'd bet big money it rents for more than that after a bidding war). 13 of the 91 cost more than $20k/month.

The median price for a 3-bed 2 bath on the Upper West is over $10k/month.

NYC's rental market is on fire right now. Fox news makes you think that it's a disgusting place where no one wants to live... but the rental data (and sales data) prove otherwise. It's a disgusting place where millions of people want to live 🙂

And for those unfamiliar with NYC... the Upperwest side is a 2nd tier neighborhood. If you went to Chelsea/Tribeca/West Village etc the rents are much higher.
