Yet Another Scrimmage Report
I don't think you could actually tell much from the first half because it was no contact so you couldn't evaluate the running game or the run D and tackling (and several key players were held out). I think the D has a definite advantage when you're in a no contact situation because they blow it dead so quickly. Jaren Hall did show off some nice running speed and had one pass that could have easily been an interception. Connover had some nice passes and looked more comfortable than I've seen him before.

Other takeaways:

Fennegan looked really good - he had command and moved the team, had some nice runs, nice throws, made good decisions. I think he made a strong push for locking up the #3 QB position.

Ropati had some nice runs, but he shouldn't be your featured power back on the goal line over and over again. He's smaller, fast, and shifty, not a big bruiser. But maybe the coaches were just challenging the O-Line to make a hole (which they eventually did to their credit).

Rehkoh can boot the ball. Nyberg had a bad muff on a punt return that would have been a TD for the other team if there hadn't been a penalty.

Chase Roberts played well. Had some nice catches.
