I suspected the BSA was likely hurting for money, but our council is now
advertising one of the local camps as a wedding venue, with its own posh website and everything.
Our stake rented it for their YW camp this summer, and the BSA is now only running 4 weeks of camp instead of 9 weeks of camp, so I guess they need to find a use for the other 48 weeks of the year.
