Felt like we played better most the game and certainly had momentum on our side. BYU fans showed up big time in the stadium and were really being loud and it was noticed everywhere. Every UVA fan we passed made the comment like where did you all come from?

The weather was a big factor with rain and lightning delay. I was completely soaked and this was after it being the hottest I think I had been in my life. It was flooding the stands and the field and took whatever momentum right out of us.

Their FG right before half was an absolute BOMB and that he hit it in those conditions was impressive. Took wind out of BYU sails.

Lastly, driving down for win and then (very rare) fumble just felt like a stunner.

Anyway, lame way to start the season.
