I disagree. GOT had far more interesting characters

Lots of shades of grey, but still people to cheer for. Who are you rooting for in HOD? GOT, both through the books and the show, had you so individually invested in different characters. I’m not feeling that yet with HOD.

With all that said, the last episode was fantastic.
