Believe the amount of good they did is really hard to underestimate. No hint of being stuck up, or condescending to anyone, instead they made literally everyone feel important. While kids can absolutely be awful - and I see that now with some of the things that have happened to my teens - the power of a popular kid who cares about others and speaks up is immense. We had our 30 year class reunion this summer and neither had changed which is awesome. While I was lucky to be popular in school i got the opportunity to tell both of them thanks for the wxample they set for so many of us.
