? for Idaho car insurance guys. Retirees buy new financed RV for $216,099
Like a nice house on wheels, they are going to drive around the country and have a good time.

They put down $126,000 and finance about 90k on June 24 and take delivery the same morning. They are required to insure the vehicle per the financing contract.

They pay $1500 for GAP 50k limit. Kicks in to payoff the loan left above what insurance pays in the event of a loss.

They have Farmers Alliance and that policy says it’s automatically insured upon purchase but you must ask for insurance “within 14 days”, and if is past that it starts when you ask.

Wife thinks husband took care of insurance. Sadly on July 7 husband drives off the road, runs into a tree and is killed. Motor home complete loss.

Wife reports the accident July 8 afternoon to the agent. insurance issues denial and says the vehicle is uninsured (7 days in June counting the day they bought it) and then 8 days of July, so 14 days plus 4 hours and they are out. GAP denies saying they only pay after insurance, and there is no insurance.

Widow left with bill she can’t pay. Is either insurance obligated to provide coverage here in Idaho?
