I think it's a valid question as yes mortgage is consumer debt but it's not
useful info as it doesn't account for assets. Example: one only owes $300k on a mortgage, no other debt. But lives in a 10 million dollar home/estate. Versus person B, who lives in an apartment and has $300K in credit cards and auto and student loans.

They both have $300k in "consumer" debt... but are in two entirely different situations
