He did a lot more ball handling this year, and I'd expect that to continue next year.
As for Toolson - I'm not sure he's really 6-5". But even if he is, we haven't seen many players at BYU "grow" into being in the rotation. And that's not just a Pope thing, it's pretty typical at other schools as well. And nothing I saw from Tanner screamed that he was the missing piece we needed. If he was, Pope would have played him.
I would love to be wrong. Hopefully Tanner plays 20 minutes of winning basketball a night and scores 8 points a game for us next year.
