I usually fly Southwest as well. Because they have more flights out of Albuquerque than any other airline.

MY observation .... it's the BIG airports that are the problem, and "nicer" airlines tend to be there.

Flights in and out of ABQ ... almost always on time.
Flights in and out of Oakland ...delayed abit.
Flights in and out of Dulles or Reagan in the east ... always delayed
Flights in and out of Las Vegas ... usually on time.
Flights in and out of Nashville ... usually on time

I think the problem is the HUGE airports are just a mess. As with lots of infrastructure ... we can't build the infrastructure large enough to handle the mass of people in the MegaCities.
