We were in Price, UT as a 9th grade basketball team. They were hosting one of those weekend tournaments where we stayed at the dorms. Anyway, our coach was driving us to our first game when my teammate Adam let out a huge fart that filled the car with a terrible odor. Our coach was so pissed off that he pulled the van over and kicked Adam out and told him to run to the game.

Keep in mind that Adam is 14-15 years old, we are in Price, UT, and no one knows where the heck we are going. We sort of thought it was a joke, but our coach left him there and drove us to the game. We waited until our game time and then about 5 minutes after we started our warm-ups, Adam came through the door. He looked exhausted and had probably been running for a while. I have no idea how he found the courts, but he did.

I’m thinking our coach would have been fired if that had happened nowadays. He was later fired, partially related to throwing the ball at the head of our center during a halftime “talk” where he lost his cool.
