Battle had multiple reported disagreements with his coach at Temple that forced the coach to even sit him for some games. I’m not saying players don’t disagree with coaches, but to get to the point it’s a story with the media, it’s hard to feel good about that player in any locker room.
I mean, Pope is coming off a season where one of his top transfers was relegated to coming off the bench. And that was for his FINAL SEASON of college basketball. You think Battle is going to take any feedback well, let alone a benching based on his history?
If this happens (highly doubtful), I’d love for Battle to prove me wrong and be a great leader. But I have trouble believing he’d be a key cog in creating “the best locker room in America”.
