Whitt is a very good coach, they punched above their weight, and the teams Utah played generally were more interesting thRn BYU’s. That’s why a lot of his content swung that way. BYU also likes to have their own baked in media management.

I do think he legitimately felt a bit disenfranchised by BYU, and you can hear it in his video — where he feels like he’s representing his generation.

Some fans are just zero sum guys and get offended any time anything good is said about Utah. Face it, they’ve had a lot of positive the past decade.

He is really smart about football, super funny, and I think he’ll be great. Cant’t wait.
