We sat next to the bench last night at the game. I came away very impressed with
Pope after really paying attention to his interactions with the players.
When Atiki got his tech, Popes was right there coaching him up on the bench. Most foul calls, he was right there telling the players what they did and what to change.
It would be rare to see a coach lose his cool in a blowout victory, but the level of actual coaching that was taking place mid game by him and his assistants was impressive.
