A high quality man with a strong streak of pettiness. Quite a few controversial
... moments in just the last year.
Aside from unneccesarily "going low" on Pope/BYU about the Ques Glover and "trust" issue and the mini-slight last night, consider:
- After losing to Iowa State, he accused their coach/program of filming their timeouts https://theathletic.com/5232227/2024/01/27/tj-otzelberger-iowa-state-huddle/
- After losing to Houston by 22, and being ejected for a double technical, he singled out and criticizedone one ref by name... https://www.kansas.com/sports/college/big-12/kansas-state/article284775516.html (he later apologized for lashing out this way)
- No coach likes to lose, but he tends to lash out and publicly blame the losses on other things
