I think it has been curious that Pope has been acting like “a jerk” (Mark Durrant’s words, not mine) toward BYU.

When I read today that TH was making phone calls as soon as Calipari left UK, I thought that was interesting.

I wonder if there is any possibility that when Pope was later talking with UK, he called TH to see what BYU would be willing to do to keep him. Instead of TH throwing money at him, perhaps he just said, “thanks for everything Mark but we are good.” Maybe that is why Pope has been acting a bit sour.

Now, I’m don’t think it happened this way because I believe Pope was going to UK no matter what so he didn’t even ask TH about what BYU would do to keep him. But thought I would post it because this is sometimes the place for silliness.
