So says a caller to my mom earlier today. Scammers are the worst.

My elderly mom has nearly fallen for a few attempted scams but this one was poorly executed. She received a call from a local number claiming to be my son. He kept calling her grandma and telling her he was in a jail in Waco. He was currently housed in the hospital ward but they were about to move him to genpop. She told the caller, "ok, I'm going to call your daddy."
She called me and was 99% certain it was a scam. I told her that, "If your grandson who is currently pursuing a Masters degree in engineering at BYU, calls you from a jail in Waco, it's most defintely a scam."
