Zach can come in, compete for a starting job right away in a better system with a better offensive coach, and try to prove he belongs in the NFL. If he rode the bench somewhere else, there's very little assurance he'd be retained there either. Might as well join a rebuilding team and try to get an opportunity as a stopgap.
