I for one am and want to see him get a shot. To me, he seems like our best chance to win games and not make critical mistakes. Athletic, duel-threat game-manager that doesn’t make critical mistakes.

He’s played in a lot of football games, meaningful football games. Had a solid 2021 season with 18 passing TDs to 7 INTs and a Sugar Bowl victory. He also rushed for 9 TDs that season. Retzlaff threw for 3 TDs and had 3 INTs and had a way lower QBR than Gerry did in 2021.

I get the injury’s and inconsistency at South Florida, but he has more weapons at BYU with Roberts, Lassiter, Epps, and Hill to name a few.

I’ll support Retzlaff or whoever starts at QB, but I sure hope Gerry is given a shot to be QB1 and think he gives us the best chance to win.
