I work w/ a guy who's son was a 4* recruit, committed to Penn St and will start
...this coming season (his first year as a starter.)

Had a good conversation with him about NIL and what the recruiting process is like.

His son had 20 P5 offers coming out of HS incl Notre Dame. He told me the recruiting process was wild and that EVERY scholarship player, at least on Penn St., get's minimum of $2,500/mo. as a Freshman. That bumps up to $4,500 as a Soph. Now that he's projected to be a starter, all starters get a minimum of $8,000/mo. and obviously that can go much higher based on skill and marketability.

He also said it's rapidly changing, so the lower numbers for the underclassmen could be outdated already.

I thought that was interesting to get a window in to see what top-tier (second-level top-tier?) programs are paying everyone now
