Pete The Hope That Kills You
PTSD (not sure if it's really that) is a weird thing. I was just triggered by sirens. 7 years ago the week before
HS graduation, I heard sirens at my house and later learned that a girl from our HS was killed in an accident (someone else ran a stop sign and hit the car she was a passenger in). My oldest was graduating then and graduation was a somber affair, understandably.

My graduating senior daughter was just driving home from the store. I had to check her location and was relieved to see she was still moving in her car. She saw the fire trucks go by.

Got emotional reliving that memory...
