and there are many examples of OL's who put up 25 or fewer reps and were first round picks and are good players. Trent Williams, Michael Oher, Ryan Clady and Anthony Davis are all recent examples of this. If he did say only 15 reps there might be some concern, but putting up 25 reps will not be viewed as a negative for Matt.
It's about functional strength, and the bench press is not a great measure of that.
And that 40 time is also just fine for a 300 pound man, also 40 times for OL's are absolutely meaningless. NFL General Managers, scouts and coaches don't give a rats yewt about an OL's 40 time.
Matt's stock has dropped, but his bench press numbers and 40 time are not reasons for his value going down.
