Those two kept teams honest the year they started together. A perimeter defender was often assigned to disrupt Hartock from getting set on the baseline. He was good at passing out of it, though, so they had to be careful. But to say Davies was the one demanding the double-teams that year is not accurate. Everyone remembers that Hartsock was the better of the two that year, don't they? It wasn't expected in the preseason, sure--but it is what transpired.
