"You know, the one thing I would like to say is those fans that did stay even though Nevada got a two touchdown lead, those fans hung with us right to the very end and were cheering like crazy when we were driving at two minutes at the end to win, man, I appreciate that, and I wanted to tell them thank you for that. BECAUSE THERE WERE MANY THAT LEFT. THOSE THAT STAYED WITH US, I APPRECIATE IT."

Why on earth should Bronco emphasize that "there were many that left" if he was not working in a rebuke? What was the point of that? Bronco clearly meant this as both an expression of appreciation to those who stayed, and a rebuke to those who left. That's vintage Bronco. His history is to go after fans who are critical of him (such as 2011 after the Texas loss, calling them "Pharissees and Sadducees"), and in this case to go after fans who did not stay to the bitter end. Only, Bronco was less direct this time. Still, it was clearly a rebuke. I read that both from Bronco's history of going after fans and getting defensive when his team is stinking up the field - as they are now.
