Actually aren't there like 7-8 sub classifications of adhd
And supposedly the meds will only help 2-3 of those.
My daughter has the non hyperactive type which if much different in presentation and people would never know she had it.

The first step is your pediatrician, who will refer you to a psychologist.

That is not correct. And a pediatrician is a licensed professional.
