This is just bizarre.

A significant majority cheer for the team because it is the Church's school and they belong to the Church. How is that irrational? Like most fans their fanship has to do with connection. Is it irrational for Jazz fans to cheer for the Jazz because they are from Utah?

Dang dude, I would say cheering due to connection is one of the only rational things about being a fan.
