one major thing they're looking at (if not the major thing) is the overall institutional value that schools offer. In other words, if I were looking at this, I'd want to know what the potential TV contracts look like, but also which schools have the most value outside of the conference's TV contracts. So that if there's a hiccup with the TV dollars at some point, you're not stuck with some brand that doesn't have much value on its own.
This is where I'd think a school like BYU would have a massive advantage over, say Cincy or Memphis or the directional Florida schools. Hopefully they give a thought or two to that kind of a thing.
