1. Not being proactive in adding Louisville before the ACC came calling. That would have been a perfect time to add BYU as well.
2. Adding West Virginia was not a particularly good move for the B12, and it was a terrible move for BYU because it significantly increased the chances that the B12 would expand to the East and not the West. They went for a quick, easy solution to get to 10 so they went with UWV and TCU.
