hyperbole in our enthusiasm, but yes, I think they are both all-around more skilled than Davies. Very much a preliminary impression, but I think it's a correct one.
I loved Davies because he's one of the rare players who actually rose all the way to his ceiling. In my humble view, he maximized every ounce of his potential, which is rare.
As a concession, I think junior and senior Davies had better post moves than Mika has right now, and his jumper was more accurate. But I think Mika has the ability to power through those shortcomings at the front end of his career.
I sincerely think Childs can match Davies' body control, though, and his footwork is just as good. That was on clear display last weekend. I'm not sure about his shooting yet, but man, it looked pretty solid.
