Leifson is taller & also seems to be a bit better simply in respect to being a sharpshooter from outside. And that's the role they'll be battling for this year, I think.

Leifson also faced considerably better, more athletic competition in HS than did Beo. He also wasn't the do-everything kinda player that Beo was for his team--so he's more used to playing a role.

Just some thoughts to consider. I really have no idea who should be ahead of who at this point. Beo's been practicing quite a bit longer with the team, & that's probably a significant factor too.

The fact they went after Leifson strongly suggests the coaches wanted him in the mix THIS year. This isn't to say he's considered the early favorite, necessarily, but it does signal the coaches weren't all that satisfied with their reserve shooters (Beo included), & saw Leifson as potentially better at filling the role than their other options.
