not be looking elsewhere, unless it's for PT or a beef with the coach. This evidence of poor NIL $ is even more glaring now with BBall, since there is no coach to have a beef with (yet), and there is not evidence that the players entering the TP would not get considerable PT next year. We are clearly not up to the challenge with the current NIL situation.
However, I'm not convinced that that isn't the ultimate plan - the BOT does not indicate that they want to compete in any money race with the big boys of college sports, IMO. They could - they've got the funds. But they won't, IMO. Regardless, coming out and saying they're going to let it fade away and involute, and go the way of "Ricks College / BYU-I" is not the type of pearl you cast before swine (wait...am I swine?). There would definitely be some hand-wringing, frustration, and "questioning" for a lot of people if they did so. So, it's always politically easier in many organizations to just let it fade away gradually until the move becomes less of a big deal.
